Goal: Configure your RoastLog account settings to match your business operations and team structure.

Prerequisites: You have activated your RoastLog account and can log in successfully.

Now that you're logged in, let's take a few minutes to make RoastLog feel like home. Proper setup will ensure you get accurate data and a smooth experience from day one.

Updating Your Profile

First, head to the Settings page by clicking on your username in the top right corner. Here you can:

  • Change your password

  • Update email

  • Update other personal settings

Essential Account Settings

Next, configure these critical settings to match your operation:

  1. Time Zone
Set this correctly to ensure that what you see on the website is in your local timezone.

  2. Measurement Units
    Choose your preferred:

    • Temperature scale (Celsius or Fahrenheit)

    • Weight units (kilograms or pounds)

  3. Cupping information will be covered in the Cupping help section.

  4. Current affects your display when entering and viewing green coffee pricing.

Adding Team Members

If you are an administrator of your account and if your plan includes multiple users:

  1. Navigate to the Team section under Settings

  2. Click "Invite new user" button

  3. Enter their name and email address

  4. Click "Send Email"

They'll receive an email with instructions to create their password and join your account.

It's worth noting that all of these settings are personalized for each individual user (except for "Make all roasts public"). This means that if you prefer kilograms while your colleague prefers pounds, you can each set your own preference without affecting the other's experience in RoastLog.
