Goal: Get your roaster properly added into RoastLog so you can start tracking profiles specific to your equipment.

Prerequisites: Access to your account on roastlog.com

Before you can start logging roasts, you'll need to add one or more roasters to the system. It's quick and easy!

Step 1: Navigate to the Equipment Tab

Head over to the Equipment tab on the RoastLog website. This is the home for all your roasting equipment. Click the "Add a roaster" button.

Step 2: Add Your Roaster

On the "Add a roaster" form and fill in the details:

  • Roaster name/model

  • Capacity

  • Any additional specifications

Click the "Save" button, and you're done!

Bonus Feature: Maintenance Tracking

If your plan includes it, you can use our maintenance tracking system to keep your equipment in top shape:

  • Click on the name of an existing roaster

  • Click the "Log service" button.

  • Add notes, service type, and date of service

  • If this service will be performed in the future, pick an "Alert date" for when you'd like to be reminded. You will receive and email notifications when it's time to service this machine.

This way, everyone on your team knows when it's time to roll up their sleeves and take care of your most valuable equipment. You can also see a log of past servicing.

Track upcoming preventative maintenance and previous service

With your roaster properly set up in RoastLog, you can now track profiles specific to each machine. Once you have roasts recorded, you can also run reports by individual machine.
